In short. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site and checkout working and are always on. Everything else — analytics and any marketing tags — is set only if you consent through the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time. We do not use cookies to profile you for third-party advertising.
1. About this policy
1.1 Purpose
This Cookie Policy explains how Artham Fintech Consulting Private Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on arthamfintech.com, and how you control them. It supplements, and should be read with, our Privacy Policy and Data Protection Policy.
1.2 Legal basis for this policy
Cookies that read or write data on your device may involve the processing of personal data. Where they do, we process that data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, under the GDPR and UK GDPR together with the ePrivacy Directive as implemented locally and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. Consent is obtained before any non-essential cookie is placed.
2. What cookies are
2.1 Cookies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. It allows the site to recognise your browser on a later request, remember preferences and maintain a session. First-party cookies are set by our domain; third-party cookies are set by another domain whose service is used on our pages.
2.2 Session and persistent cookies
Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until deleted.
2.3 Similar technologies
We may also use local storage and session storage (data stored in the browser rather than transmitted with each request), pixels or clear GIFs (small transparent images that record whether a page or email was opened), and software development kits embedded in third-party services. References to “cookies” in this policy include these technologies.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off through our banner. They maintain your session, hold the contents of your cart, secure the checkout, balance server load and protect against cross-site request forgery. Typical examples on a WordPress and WooCommerce site are the session identifier, the cart and cart-hash cookies, the checkout session cookie and the cookie recording your consent preferences. Disabling these through your browser will break the store.
3.2 Functional and preference
These remember choices you make, such as language, region, whether a notice has been dismissed and form entries you have partly completed. Without them the site still works, but you will have to repeat choices.
3.3 Analytics and performance
These help us understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, where journeys break down and which errors occur. We use this to improve content and navigation. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent. Where the provider supports it, we enable IP anonymisation and disable data sharing for the provider’s own purposes.
3.4 Marketing and remarketing
These may be used to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and, where deployed, to show our content to people who have visited the site. They are set only with your consent and can be withdrawn at any time. Whether any marketing tags are currently active on this site is confirmed in section 4.

Third-party services embedded on the site, such as video players, scheduling widgets, chat tools or map embeds, may set their own cookies when you interact with them. These are governed by the provider’s own policy. The providers currently embedded are Google Maps.
5. Consent
5.1 How consent is obtained
On your first visit a banner presents the categories of cookies used, with equally prominent options to accept all, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category. No non-essential cookie is set before you make a choice. We do not treat continued scrolling or navigation as consent, and we do not use pre-ticked boxes or interface patterns that make refusal harder than acceptance.
5.2 Reviewing and withdrawing consent
You can reopen the preference centre at any time from the link in the website footer and change your selection. Withdrawal takes effect immediately for future processing; it does not affect processing already carried out. You may also withdraw consent by writing to the contact in section 9.
5.3 Consent Managers
Where you use a Consent Manager registered with the Data Protection Board of India to manage your consents, we will act on the instructions received through that Consent Manager in the same way as instructions received directly from you.
5.4 Re-prompting
We ask again for consent after 12 months, and sooner if we add a materially different category of cookie.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of our banner, you can manage cookies in your browser settings: block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, delete cookies on exit, or clear cookies already stored. The controls are found under Settings in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari; consult the browser’s help pages for current instructions. Most browsers also offer a private or incognito mode that discards cookies at the end of the session. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the cart and checkout from working.
7. Do Not Track and global privacy signals
There is no common standard for how websites should respond to browser “Do Not Track” headers, and we do not currently respond to them. Where our consent tool supports the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent to non-essential cookies. The current position is honours Global Privacy Control signals where a browser sends them.
8. Data collected through cookies
Data read or written through cookies may include IP address, device and browser characteristics, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps and interaction events. Retention, sharing, international transfer and your rights of access, correction and erasure in respect of this data are described in our Privacy Policy. Analytics data is retained for 14 months and is not used to make decisions about you individually.
9. Changes and contact
We review this policy whenever the site’s tag configuration changes and at least annually. Material changes are reflected in a refreshed consent banner.
