Work on the questions, not just the entries

Remote-first delivery across finance operations, transaction advisory, valuation, forensic work and analytics, in a firm where every deliverable carries a named preparer and a named reviewer.

The firm

Artham Fintech Consulting Private Limited is a finance, accounting and business advisory firm based in New Delhi, working with clients in India, the GCC, the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore and Australia. The work spans transaction advisory, virtual CFO delivery, business valuation, forensic advisory and investigation, data reconciliation, analytics and receivables management.

Most of it is delivered virtually, for clients who need a finance function or a specialist team without building one in-house. That shapes the roles here more than anything else does.

What the work is actually like

Most finance roles narrow over time. You become the person who runs one process for one entity, and five years later your range is unchanged. Advisory work runs the other way. In a single quarter a preparer here might build a revenue recognition schedule for a SaaS client, test invoices in a forensic review, and construct a sensitivity model for a feasibility study. The variety is not a perk; it is the reason people who join stay technically sharp.

Delivery is organised into small pods, each with a named engagement lead who owns the client relationship and the review of everything the pod issues. Because pods are small, there is no layer between the person doing the work and the person the work is for. Preparers join client calls, hear the question being asked, and see how their schedule is used in the decision. That is uncomfortable at first and formative afterwards.

Nothing leaves the firm on one person’s judgement. Your work is reviewed by someone authorised to send it back, and you review others’ work on the same terms. Review here is technical, specific and written down. It is also the reason clients trust what we send them.

Remote-first, deliberately

The firm was built to deliver virtually, which makes remote work the operating model rather than an accommodation. In practice that means a few specific things.

Engagements are documented rather than transmitted verbally. Scope notes, data request lists, workpaper standards and review comments all exist in writing, so someone joining a pod can get current without a series of catch-up calls. Written communication is a core skill here, not a soft one.

Working hours are structured around client overlap rather than around presence. Clients sit in Indian, Gulf, UK, US, Singapore and Australian time zones, and pods are staffed so that queries are answered within the client’s working day. Where a role carries a shifted overlap window, that is stated in the role brief before you apply rather than discovered afterwards.

Access to client records is controlled per engagement and per person. You are given the access your work requires and no more, and forensic and transaction engagements are ring-fenced. This is a condition of the work and it is treated as one.

Who tends to do well here

Technical depth relative to your stage, plainly. Beyond that, three qualities predict success here more reliably than any credential.

The first is the instinct to reconcile. Good colleagues are bothered by a number that does not tie, and they chase it rather than rounding it away. The second is the ability to write. If you can explain in three sentences why a figure moved and what assumption it rests on, you can do most of this job. The third is calibrated confidence: knowing what you know, saying plainly what you do not, and asking early instead of guessing under deadline pressure.

We hire people with formal qualifications in accountancy, finance and analytics, and we hire people whose depth came from doing the work. Candidates are assessed on demonstrated capability rather than institution, and the requirements for any role are stated in its brief when it is posted.

Study support

We support colleagues working towards recognised professional qualifications in accountancy, finance and related disciplines. Study leave and examination fee support are agreed individually at the point of hire and recorded in the offer, so the arrangement is explicit rather than left to discretion later.

The reasoning is straightforward. Much of what we sell is technical judgement, and the qualification a colleague is studying for is usually directly usable in the engagements they are already staffed on.

How hiring works

When a role is open, the process is designed to be short and to tell you as much about us as it tells us about you. It runs in four stages.

You apply with a CV and a short note on why the role fits, which we read in full. If there is a fit, we hold a 30 minute conversation covering your experience, what you want to be doing in two years, and how the role is structured, including hours and delivery expectations.

Next is a work sample: a realistic, time-boxed task drawn from the work the role involves, such as a reconciliation with deliberate breaks, a short model, or a written analysis of a situation. It is bounded to a few hours, briefed clearly, and reviewed the way client work is reviewed. We discuss it with you afterwards, because how you explain your reasoning matters as much as the output.

Then a technical and judgement conversation with an engagement lead, followed by an offer discussion covering compensation, working pattern and start date. We tell candidates where they stand at each stage, including when the answer is no, and we say why.

Current openings

There are no live vacancies at present. Roles appear on this page when they open, each with its responsibilities, requirements and working pattern set out in the brief before you apply. This page is where we post them.

Speculative applications are welcome in the meantime. If your experience is relevant, write to info@arthamfintech.com with your CV and a short note on the kind of work you want to be doing. Notes are kept on file and reviewed when a matching role opens.

Working here

What we offer

Remote-first by design

The firm was built to deliver virtually, so remote colleagues are not second-class participants. Documentation, review and client contact work the same way regardless of where you sit.

Range across sectors and services

Pod staffing rotates across service lines and industries, from transaction advisory and valuation to forensic review, virtual CFO delivery and analytics. You meet more distinct problem types in a year here than most in-house finance roles offer.

Structured, written review

Every deliverable you prepare is reviewed by a named reviewer, in writing, with specifics. Review is treated as a development mechanism rather than a gate.

Direct client exposure

Preparers join client calls and see how their work is used in a decision. There is no account layer between you and the person relying on your schedule.

Defined working windows

Overlap hours are set per role and stated in the brief before you apply. Where a role requires a shifted window for client time zones, that is disclosed up front.

Support for continuing qualification

Study leave and examination fee support for recognised professional qualifications are agreed individually at the point of hire and recorded in the offer.

No role that fits? Write to us anyway.

We keep strong applications on file and reach out when a matching engagement opens.
